Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IMP1734 + paclitaxel is an investigational combination regimen consisting of IMP1734 (also known as EIK1003), an oral, highly selective PARP1 inhibitor, and paclitaxel, an intravenous microtubule-stabilizing taxane chemotherapy. IMP1734 is designed to selectively inhibit PARP1 while sparing PARP2, which is intended to improve the therapeutic index and reduce the hematologic toxicities (such as myelosuppression) typically associated with non-selective PARP1/2 inhibitors. This improved safety profile allows IMP1734 to be combined with cytotoxic chemotherapies like paclitaxel. The combination is being co-developed by IMPACT Therapeutics and Eikon Therapeutics and is currently in Phase 1/2 clinical trials (such as NCT06253130) for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including epithelial ovarian cancer and HER2-negative breast cancer.
