Overview

Impaza is an over-the-counter (OTC) homeopathic medication developed by the Russian pharmaceutical company Materia Medica Holding for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Its active component consists of affinity-purified antibodies to endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) prepared in ultralow doses (release-active dilutions C12, C30, and C200). The drug works by modulating and increasing the activity of eNOS, which stimulates the production of nitric oxide in endothelial cells during sexual stimulation. This enhancement leads to elevated levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscles of the corpus cavernosum, facilitating relaxation and increased blood flow to the penis. It is administered as sublingual tablets and is marketed for men with erectile dysfunction of various etiologies, including those with cardiovascular comorbidities.
