Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Imprime PGG + granulocyte colony-stimulating factor is a combination therapy under investigation for oncology and immuno-oncology indications. Imprime PGG is a soluble beta-glucan (a complex carbohydrate derived from yeast cell walls) believed to modulate the immune response via interaction with innate immune cells. Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), which may be filgrastim or pegfilgrastim, is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the bone marrow to produce neutrophils. The combination is designed to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapies and chemotherapies by priming the innate immune system and boosting neutrophil production, potentially synergizing anti-tumor immune responses. Imprime PGG is developed by Biothera Pharmaceuticals.
