Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Improved ATT tablet (also known as Improved Anethol Trithione tablet or 改良茴三硫片) is an oral tablet formulation of anethole trithione (ATT) with enhanced bioavailability, developed by Pharmesis International. Anethole trithione is a synthetic organosulfur dithiolethione compound that acts as a sialogogue and choleretic agent. It is traditionally used to treat dry mouth (xerostomia) and hepatobiliary disorders such as cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, and dyspepsia, as well as an adjuvant therapy for acute and chronic hepatitis. The improved formulation is designed to enhance the bioavailability of anethole trithione, allowing for faster absorption and improved therapeutic efficacy. Pharmesis International's R&D pipeline includes plans for this improved tablet formulation alongside other ATT-based products.
