imsidolimab

Imsidolimab is a high-affinity, fully humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that acts as an antagonist of the interleukin-36 receptor (IL-36R). By specifically binding to IL-36R, it blocks IL-36 signaling and thereby inhibits downstream proinflammatory pathways implicated in the pathogenesis of generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) and other inflammatory diseases. Imsidolimab has demonstrated rapid onset of action and sustained efficacy in phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials for GPP, with significant improvements in skin clearance and quality of life measures. The drug was originally developed by AnaptysBio, which has since entered into a global licensing agreement with Vanda Pharmaceuticals for its further development and commercialization[1][3][5][8].
