Overview

IMT-009 + fruquintinib is an investigational combination therapy consisting of IMT-009, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD161, and fruquintinib, an oral small molecule inhibitor that blocks vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR). IMT-009 is designed to modulate immune responses by binding to CD161, which is expressed on certain immune cells, potentially enhancing anti-tumor immunity. Fruquintinib acts as an anti-angiogenic agent by inhibiting VEGFRs, thereby blocking the blood supply to tumors. This combination is currently being evaluated for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory Hodgkin lymphoma and T-cell lymphoma in phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials. IMT-009 is developed by Immunitas Therapeutics, while fruquintinib is developed by HUTCHMED and marketed as Fruzaqla by Takeda in the United States for metastatic colorectal cancer[1][2][3][4].
