Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**IMTV014** is a novel immunotherapy developed by Immgenuity, Inc., comprising a genetically modified, recombinant, live, attenuated HIV virus designed as a therapeutic vaccine platform for HIV and NeuroAIDS. Unlike wild-type HIV, which blocks immune signaling, IMTV014 restores normal immune signaling to elicit a viable, robust immune response capable of targeting and clearing the virus, including from sanctuary sites resistant to antiretroviral therapy. It has demonstrated safety in preclinical studies and is being evaluated in collaborations, such as with Biostax Corp., for potential HIV remission when combined with immune-modulating agents like Lodonal™ and JKB-122, requiring patients to discontinue antiretrovirals prior to administration.[1][4][17]
