Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Imunoglukan P4H ACUTE is an approved, marketed food supplement developed and manufactured by Pleuran for intensive, short-term immune and respiratory tract support, particularly during the first signs of exhaustion, fatigue, or respiratory infections. It is formulated as a combination of Imunoglukan (IMG), a highly purified insoluble beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan (pleuran) extracted from the oyster mushroom (*Pleurotus ostreatus*), alongside vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) and zinc. The liquid formulation also incorporates five plant extracts: *Drosera rotundifolia*, *Sambucus nigra*, *Sisymbrium officinale*, *Ribes nigrum*, and *Pelargonium sidoides*. Imunoglukan acts as an immunomodulator by binding to pattern recognition receptors, primarily C-type lectin domain family 7 member A (Dectin-1), on innate immune cells (such as macrophages and dendritic cells) to stimulate innate and adaptive immune responses. Vitamin C and zinc serve as essential micronutrients that synergistically support cellular immune functions and protect cells from oxidative stress.
