Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Imunoglukan P4H Chewable tablets is a marketed food supplement developed by Pleuran to support immune function and bone maintenance, particularly in children and individuals experiencing physical or mental stress. The formulation contains Imunoglukan (IMG), a highly purified natural polysaccharide complex of beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan extracted from the oyster mushroom (*Pleurotus ostreatus*), combined with zinc and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). IMG acts as an immunomodulator by binding to pattern recognition receptors, primarily Dectin-1 (CLEC7A) and complement receptor 3 (CR3), on immune cells in the Peyer's patches of the small intestine, thereby triggering innate and adaptive immune responses. Zinc and vitamin D3 provide synergistic nutritional support, contributing to the normal function of the immune system and the maintenance of healthy bones.
