Overview

IMV103 is an experimental in vivo CAR-T cell therapy being developed by Suzhou Immunofoco Biotechnology for the treatment of solid tumors expressing Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2). Unlike traditional ex vivo CAR-T therapies, which require the extraction, modification, and re-infusion of a patient's T cells, IMV103 utilizes a lentivirus-based vector to deliver the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) gene directly into the patient's body. This approach is designed to reprogram endogenous T cells in situ to recognize and eliminate CLDN18.2-positive cancer cells. By bypassing the complex and costly ex vivo manufacturing process, IMV103 aims to provide a more accessible and rapidly deployable treatment option for patients with gastrointestinal and other CLDN18.2-expressing malignancies.
