Overview

IMW-1001 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-Like Receptor B2 (LILRB2), also known as ILT4. Developed by Immune-Onc Therapeutics (through its Chinese subsidiary Longqi Biopharmaceutical), IMW-1001 is designed to block the interaction between LILRB2 and its ligands, such as HLA-G, ANGPTLs, and SEMA4A. LILRB2 is an inhibitory receptor primarily expressed on myeloid cells, including monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, where it promotes an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. By antagonizing LILRB2, IMW-1001 aims to reprogram myeloid cells from a pro-tumorigenic (M2-like) state to a pro-inflammatory (M1-like) state, thereby enhancing T cell activation and anti-tumor immunity. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of advanced, unresectable, or metastatic solid tumors.
