Overview

IMX-120 is a tissue-specific biologic developed by Immix Biopharma for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. It leverages proprietary Immune Normalization Technology and consists of a humanized antibody fragment (single-chain variable fragment, scFv) targeting the glucose transporter type 1 (GLUT1) on overactive immune cells, coupled with polyphenol poly-kinase inhibitors. The mechanism aims to selectively silence disease-causing immune cells within the bowel, by inhibiting GLUT1-mediated immune cell activity and blocking kinase pathways that upregulate NF-κB and STAT3, both key drivers of inflammation in IBD[1][2][3][4][7][15].
