Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IMX113 is a preclinical-stage bispecific enzyme therapeutic being developed by Imunexus for the treatment of a rare pediatric disease. The drug utilizes Imunexus's proprietary "imunexin" technology—a half-life extending protein scaffold—fused to an existing, on-market enzyme replacement therapy (ERT). The primary objective of IMX113 is to address the pharmacokinetic limitations of the current ERT, which has a very short half-life of only a few minutes, necessitating frequent and prolonged intravenous administrations in a healthcare setting. By extending the enzyme's systemic exposure, IMX113 aims to reduce dosing frequency and improve the administration profile for pediatric patients with enzyme deficiency disorders.
