Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**IN-003** is an Inhalon Biopharma preclinical inhaled antibody program for treatment of human metapneumovirus infection. The product is reported to comprise two potent neutralizing monoclonal antibodies directed against the human metapneumovirus fusion protein. It is designed for delivery to the airways using Inhalon’s muco-trapping platform, in which antiviral antibodies bind respiratory virions and crosslink them to airway mucins, limiting viral access to epithelial cells and promoting clearance through normal mucociliary transport. The underlying hMPV antibodies originated from work at the University of Georgia and were licensed to Inhalon for development. ([sbir.gov](https://www.sbir.gov/portfolio/2666337))
