Overview

IN-007 is a novel, self-administered, nebulized, broad-spectrum inhaled antiviral therapeutic developed by Inhalon Biopharma. It is designed for the prophylaxis or treatment of COVID-19 and other SARS infections, aiming to be potent against all current and future variants of SARS-CoV-2. The drug functions as an ACE2-targeting therapeutic, likely by interfering with the virus's ability to bind to the ACE2 receptor. Development of IN-007 is supported by a $5.7 million contract from the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) as part of the U.S. Army Military Performance Advancement Initiative (MPAI), with the goal of providing a field-deployable countermeasure for military personnel. This development builds upon Inhalon's prior IN-006 program and its inhaled antibody delivery approach.
