Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IN-B001 EV71 is an inactivated whole-virus vaccine candidate designed to prevent Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease (HFMD) caused by Enterovirus 71 (EV71). EV71 is a major pathogen responsible for severe HFMD, particularly in children, and can lead to serious neurological complications. The vaccine works by introducing inactivated EV71 viral particles to the body, which stimulates the immune system to produce neutralizing antibodies and specific T-cell responses against the virus, thereby providing protection against future infections and mitigating the risk of severe disease. It is being developed by SK bioscience.
