Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TScan Therapeutics is developing a preclinical in vivo-engineered T cell therapy program that utilizes T cell receptors (TCRs) from its proprietary ImmunoBank repository. Unlike traditional ex vivo TCR-T therapies that require complex manufacturing outside the body, this approach aims to engineer T cells directly within the patient (in vivo) to express tumor-specific TCRs. These TCRs are selected from the ImmunoBank to recognize diverse antigens associated with various HLA types, enabling targeted recognition and killing of tumor cells. The program is designed to treat high-incidence solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), sarcoma, head and neck cancer, cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital cancer. By targeting multiple antigens and HLA types, the therapy seeks to overcome tumor heterogeneity and provide an off-the-shelf solution for solid malignancies.
