INB301 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Yunnan Baiyao Group for the treatment of cancer cachexia. It specifically targets and neutralizes Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15), a stress-induced cytokine that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers. GDF15 signals through the GFRAL receptor in the area postrema of the brain to induce anorexia and weight loss. By blocking this pathway, INB301 is designed to reverse or prevent the muscle wasting and loss of appetite characteristic of cachexia in patients with solid tumors such as non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and colorectal cancer. The drug is currently undergoing Phase I/IIa clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in improving nutritional status and quality of life for cancer patients.
