Overview

INBRX-109 + cisplatin is an experimental combination therapy evaluated for use in patients with solid tumors, notably in malignant pleural mesothelioma. INBRX-109 (ozekibart) is a recombinant, humanized tetravalent antibody that functions as an agonist for Death Receptor 5 (DR5). It induces apoptosis selectively in tumor cells by potently clustering DR5 and activating downstream caspase pathways. Cisplatin is a well-established platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes cross-linking of DNA, leading to apoptosis in cancer cells. The combination aims to maximize antitumor efficacy by pairing targeted pro-apoptotic stimulation with DNA damage-induced cell death. INBRX-109 was developed by Inhibrx and is tested in first-in-human phase 1 trials for multiple solid tumor indications, including in combination regimens with cisplatin[1][2][5][6][7].
