INCB099280 + axitinib is an investigational combination therapy for advanced solid tumors, particularly in adults with advanced clear-cell or rare histological subtype epithelial gynecological cancers who are not suitable for curative surgery or chemoradiation. Axitinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that primarily targets the vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, VEGFR-2, VEGFR-3), inhibiting angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation required for tumor growth and metastasis). The primary aim of the combination is to synergize immune checkpoint blockade (INCB099280) with inhibition of tumor angiogenesis (axitinib) to enhance anticancer efficacy.
