Overview

IncobotulinumtoxinA is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, produced by the bacterium *Clostridium botulinum*. It acts as a neuromuscular blocker and is used to treat several conditions involving muscle overactivity or excessive glandular secretion. Its mechanism involves inhibiting the release of acetylcholine at presynaptic nerve terminals, thereby reducing muscle contractions or glandular activity. IncobotulinumtoxinA is indicated for chronic sialorrhea (excessive drooling), upper limb spasticity in adults and children (excluding those with cerebral palsy), cervical dystonia (spasmodic torticollis), blepharospasm (eyelid spasms), and temporary improvement of moderate to severe upper facial lines such as glabellar lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet in adults[1][3][4][5][6][7].
