Indaflex

Indaflex is a proprietary topical formulation of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug indomethacin, developed by AlphaRx to deliver the active ingredient through the skin using a nanoemulsion-based transdermal technology for the treatment of arthritis symptoms, particularly osteoarthritis. As a reformulation of an approved NSAID, Indaflex is intended to provide local anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects at diseased joints while potentially reducing systemic exposure and gastrointestinal toxicity associated with oral indomethacin. The product advanced to at least Phase 2 clinical development for osteoarthritis and has been reported as launched in Mexico as a topical NSAID for arthritis symptom relief.
