Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ABT-806i is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody-based imaging agent, specifically an indium 111-labeled version of the humanized recombinant IgG1κ antibody ABT-806. It targets a unique, conformationally exposed epitope of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) that is accessible only in tumors with dysregulated EGFR activation, such as those with EGFR amplification or specific mutations like EGFRvIII. The primary use of ABT-806i is for real-time scintigraphic imaging to assess EGFR expression in tumors and assist in patient selection for EGFR-targeted therapies. It has shown minimal uptake in normal tissues and acceptable radiation dosimetry, providing additional information about tumor antigen expression compared to standard tissue-based approaches[1][3][5].
