Indium-111 bleomycin complex is an investigational **tumor-targeting radiopharmaceutical** in which the cytotoxic glycopeptide antibiotic bleomycin is labeled with the Auger-electron-emitting radionuclide indium-111. The low-pH complex was designed to retain bleomycin-mediated DNA damage while adding highly localized radiation damage after tumor uptake and intracellular, including nuclear, localization. It has been evaluated for tumor imaging, including SPECT imaging, and for experimental radiochemotherapy in solid tumors such as head and neck cancer, glioma, liver cancer, squamous cell carcinoma, and small cell lung cancer. Clinical evaluation in head and neck cancer involved intravenous administration, while most therapeutic evidence remains preclinical or exploratory.
