Overview

Indium In-111 imciromab pentetate is a radiolabeled mouse monoclonal antibody Fab fragment that binds to the heavy chain of human cardiac myosin, an intracellular protein found in both cardiac and skeletal muscle cells. The antibody is conjugated with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA), allowing it to be labeled with the radioisotope Indium‑111. It was used as a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical for imaging myocardial necrosis, particularly for detecting acute myocardial infarction when other diagnostic methods were inconclusive. The product was marketed under the trade name Myoscint but was withdrawn from use in 1993[1][2][3][7].
