Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Individualized Chemotherapy (Zhejiang University) refers to a personalized adjuvant treatment protocol for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following liver transplantation. This strategy utilizes the Adenosine Triphosphate Tumor Chemosensitivity Assay (ATP-TCA) to select the most effective two-drug chemotherapy combination for each patient from a predefined panel of cytotoxic agents. The candidate drugs include oxaliplatin, gemcitabine, irinotecan, paclitaxel, docetaxel, fluorouracil, doxorubicin, and cisplatin. By tailoring the chemotherapy regimen to the specific ex vivo sensitivity of the patient's tumor cells, the protocol aims to minimize recurrence and improve overall survival compared to standardized regimens like mFOLFOX6.
