Drug intelligence / Profile preview
LuminoMark is a fluorescence-based localization agent developed by Hanlim Pharm for the preoperative marking of nonpalpable breast lesions. It is a combination of indocyanine green (ICG), a near-infrared fluorescent dye, and hyaluronic acid (HA), which acts as a high-viscosity carrier. The inclusion of hyaluronic acid prevents the rapid diffusion of ICG from the injection site, allowing the marker to remain localized at the lesion for an extended period. During surgery, the fluorescent signal is detected using a near-infrared imaging system, providing real-time guidance for the surgeon to accurately locate and excise the lesion while sparing healthy tissue.
