Overview

A combination of **indole-3-carbinol**, **perillyl alcohol**, **glucuronic acid**, and **flavonoids**; these are natural compounds often found in vegetables, fruits, and other plant-derived foods and extracts. Indole-3-carbinol is a compound derived from cruciferous vegetables and exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties through modulation of oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis. Perillyl alcohol is a monoterpene present in the essential oils of various plants and demonstrates anticancer, antiangiogenic, and cytostatic effects in preclinical models, mainly through inhibition of Ras signaling, cell-cycle arrest, induction of apoptosis, and enhancement of endoplasmic reticulum stress in cancer cells. Glucuronic acid is a sugar acid involved in the detoxification process via glucuronidation but is not commonly used alone as a drug; it's sometimes included in dietary supplements for supposed detox or antioxidant effects. Flavonoids are a broad group of polyphenolic compounds found in many plant foods; they possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and chemopreventive properties through scavenging of reactive oxygen species, modulation of signaling pathways, and regulation of inflammation and apoptosis. While individual components have been studied for preventive or adjunctive effects in cancer and liver disease, combination formulations containing these specific ingredients lack robust clinical evidence or regulatory approval as pharmaceuticals and may be available as dietary supplements.
