Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of indomethacin (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), cefazolin (a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic), and clindamycin (a lincosamide antibiotic). The combination has been studied for use in perioperative prophylaxis during physical examination-indicated cervical cerclage procedures. Research indicates that this combination is associated with significant prolongation in gestational latency after cerclage placement, with patients showing higher frequency of achieving gestational latency greater than or equal to 28 days and higher median birthweight compared to controls.
