Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Indomethacin + paracetamol is a combination medication that pairs a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with an analgesic to provide enhanced pain relief with fewer side effects than high-dose indomethacin alone. This combination is particularly useful for treating inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, where the low-dose indomethacin (50 mg) provides anti-inflammatory effects while paracetamol (4 g) contributes additional analgesic properties. Studies have shown that this combination can achieve similar analgesic effects to high-dose indomethacin (150 mg) but with reduced gastrointestinal and other adverse effects.
