indomethacin + ranibizumab

Indomethacin + ranibizumab is a combination therapy used for the treatment of neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This combination approach targets both inflammation and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) pathways involved in choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Ranibizumab is administered as an intravitreal injection while indomethacin is given as topical eye drops. Clinical studies have shown that this combination provides superior anatomical and visual outcomes compared to ranibizumab monotherapy, with the additional benefit of potentially reducing the frequency of ranibizumab injections needed.
