Overview

Inetetamab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2/ErbB2). It is an Fc-engineered analog of trastuzumab, differing by two amino acids in the Fc domain while retaining an identical F(ab’)2 region. Inetetamab binds to domain IV of HER2 on tumor cells, blocking HER2-mediated signaling and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation. Its optimized Fc region enhances antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) compared to trastuzumab. Inetetamab has demonstrated efficacy in HER2-positive advanced breast cancer and shows synergistic antitumor effects when combined with chemotherapeutic agents such as cisplatin or tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Developed and manufactured in China, it is primarily used for treating HER2-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
