Overview

Infanrix hexa + Twinrix Junior refers to a heterologous vaccination regimen evaluated by Laval University for the prevention of Hepatitis B in infants. Infanrix hexa is a hexavalent vaccine that provides protection against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, Haemophilus influenzae type b, and hepatitis B. Twinrix Junior is a bivalent vaccine designed to protect against both hepatitis A and hepatitis B. Both vaccines utilize recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) as the active component for hepatitis B protection. The clinical focus of this combination, particularly in studies led by Laval University, is to compare the immunogenicity and efficacy of 2-dose versus 3-dose schedules in children aged 2 to 18 months, specifically monitoring the immune response to the hepatitis B component.
