Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Infectoflam** is a combination ophthalmic eye drop formulation containing **fluorometholone**, a corticosteroid, and **gentamicin sulfate**, an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Fluorometholone reduces inflammation by inhibiting inflammatory responses such as edema, fibrin deposition, capillary dilation, leukocyte migration, and scar formation in corticosteroid-responsive conditions of the eye, including the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment. Gentamicin provides antibacterial activity against susceptible ocular pathogens. Developed and distributed by InfectoPharm, a German pharmaceutical company specializing in pediatric and specialized medicines, it is indicated for inflammatory eye conditions with potential bacterial involvement.[5][15][17]
