Overview
**InflammaGen Shok-Pak** is a drug/delivery platform developed by InflammaGen Therapeutics for preventing shock and multi-organ failure (MOF). It administers an enzyme inhibitor directly into the stomach and intestinal lumen via nasogastric tube to block digestive enzymes that leak into the bloodstream during shock-induced autodigestion, a process discovered by UC San Diego bioengineering professor Geert Schmid-Schönbein. The therapy targets the root cause of MOF in critically ill patients, such as those with sepsis or septic shock, with preclinical data showing improved survival and a Phase 2 pilot study assessing reduced morbidity, ICU stay, and mortality.[1][3][5]
