Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Influcid is a complex homeopathic medicinal product developed by Deutsche Homöopathie-Union (DHU)-Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infections, including influenza and feverish colds. The formulation consists of six active homeopathic ingredients: Aconitum, Bryonia, Ipecacuanha, Gelsemium, Phosphorus, and Eupatorium perfoliatum. Influcid is reported to alleviate typical symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle soreness, rhinitis, and pharyngitis while enhancing the body's natural defenses. Clinical and in vitro studies have suggested that the preparation possesses interferon-inducing activity and broad-spectrum antiviral properties against various respiratory viruses, including influenza A and B, adenoviruses, and coronaviruses. It is available as sublingual tablets and as an oral solution.
