Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The influenza hemagglutinin mRNA vaccine is a messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine designed to induce an immune response against the influenza virus. It works by delivering mRNA that encodes for influenza hemagglutinin, a key viral surface protein. Upon administration, the host cells translate this mRNA into the hemagglutinin protein, which is then presented to the immune system, triggering the production of antibodies and cellular immunity to protect against influenza infection. This vaccine is being developed by Sanofi Pasteur.
