Overview

GSK4382276A is an investigational, multivalent messenger RNA (mRNA)-based vaccine developed by GSK in collaboration with CureVac for the prevention of seasonal influenza. The vaccine utilizes CureVac's proprietary second-generation mRNA backbone to deliver mRNA constructs encoding hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from WHO-recommended influenza A and B strains. By leveraging mRNA technology, the vaccine aims to provide a more flexible and potentially more effective alternative to traditional egg-based or cell-based influenza vaccines. Clinical data from Phase 2 studies (NCT06431607, NCT05823974) in healthy younger and older adults showed that the vaccine met its primary immunogenicity and safety endpoints, demonstrating a favorable reactogenicity profile and robust immune responses across multiple formulations. The program is currently advancing into Phase 3 development.
