Each dose is formulated to contain hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from three specific influenza strains—typically two Type A (H1N1 and H3N2) and one Type B—as recommended annually by the World Health Organization. Its primary mechanism of action involves stimulating the host's immune system to produce neutralizing antibodies against the viral hemagglutinin, thereby preventing infection and disease caused by seasonal influenza A and B viruses.
