Overview
Vaxigrip QIV (also known as VaxigripTetra) is a quadrivalent, inactivated, split-virion influenza vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur. It is designed to provide protection against four strains of the influenza virus: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The vaccine is produced using embryonated chicken eggs and is administered via intramuscular or deep subcutaneous injection. It is indicated for the prevention of influenza disease caused by the specific strains contained in the vaccine in individuals aged 6 months and older, including pregnant women to protect both the mother and the infant.
