Overview

**Agrippal** is an egg-derived, inactivated trivalent influenza surface-antigen subunit vaccine originally developed by Novartis Vaccines. It was the conventional embryonated-hen-egg comparator in Novartis study V58P4, which evaluated it against the MDCK cell culture-derived vaccine Optaflu. The vaccine is intended for active immunization against seasonal influenza A and B viruses represented by the annually selected vaccine strains.
