Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GC FLU inj. is a WHO-prequalified, trivalent, inactivated split-virion seasonal influenza vaccine developed by GC Biopharma (formerly Green Cross Corporation). It is formulated annually in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations to protect against three circulating influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and one influenza B lineage. The vaccine is produced by culturing the viruses in embryonated chicken eggs, followed by splitting and inactivation with formaldehyde. It is administered via intramuscular injection to provide active immunization against seasonal influenza.
