Influvac High Dose

Influvac High Dose is an inactivated surface antigen influenza vaccine developed by Viatris (formerly Mylan). It is specifically formulated with a higher concentration of viral hemagglutinin (HA) antigens compared to standard-dose vaccines to improve the immune response in populations with immunosenescence, such as the elderly (typically 65 years and older). The vaccine contains purified surface antigens—hemagglutinin and neuraminidase—from influenza virus strains. By providing a higher dose of HA per strain (typically 60 µg compared to the standard 15 µg), it aims to elicit a more robust antibody response to prevent influenza infection and reduce the severity of the disease.
