Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Influvax Tetra** is an egg-derived, inactivated split-virion quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals for prevention of influenza in adults and children aged 6 months and older. Each 0.5 mL dose contains 15 micrograms of hemagglutinin from two influenza A strains and two influenza B lineage strains. The viruses are propagated in specific-pathogen-free chicken eggs, split, and inactivated with formaldehyde. Vaccination induces strain-directed humoral immune responses, including neutralizing antibodies against influenza viral surface antigens, to reduce the risk of influenza infection.
