Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Infudopa** is a non-specific umbrella brand name used by Dizlin Pharmaceuticals for two investigational levodopa + carbidopa infusion products for advanced Parkinson's disease: **Infudopa SubC** and **Infudopa IntraV**. Infudopa SubC is a continuously buffered levodopa-carbidopa solution delivered subcutaneously through a wearable infusion pump for patients with motor fluctuations inadequately controlled by oral levodopa. Infudopa IntraV is an intravenous levodopa-carbidopa infusion intended for inpatient use when oral administration is not feasible, including perioperative care. Levodopa is transported into the brain and converted to dopamine, restoring dopaminergic signaling depleted in Parkinson's disease, while carbidopa inhibits peripheral aromatic L-amino-acid decarboxylase to reduce peripheral levodopa metabolism and increase levodopa availability to the central nervous system. Dizlin Pharmaceuticals developed both products; Neuraxpharm holds a co-development and commercialization agreement specifically for Infudopa SubC.
