Overview

ZKY019 is a recombinant form of human inhibin B, a peptide hormone belonging to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. Developed by Lee's Pharmaceutical through its subsidiary ZKGZ Biotech (Zhaoke Guangzhou), it is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for gynaecological indications, specifically the treatment of infertility. Inhibin B is a key regulator of the reproductive system, where its primary physiological role is the selective inhibition of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion from the anterior pituitary gland. By acting as a functional antagonist to activin signaling, ZKY019 aims to modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, potentially assisting in controlled ovarian stimulation and the management of ovarian dysfunction in patients with reproductive disorders.
