Overview

INI-2004 is a fully synthetic, small molecule immunotherapy that acts as a toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) agonist. It is being developed for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and food hypersensitivity. When administered intranasally, INI-2004 has demonstrated significant reductions in airway resistance, eosinophil influx, and Th2 cytokine production in preclinical animal models, indicating strong disease-modifying effects for allergic rhinitis. The drug is formulated as a liposomal preparation to enhance safety and efficacy profiles. Phase 1 clinical trials have shown that INI-2004 is safe and well tolerated over multiple administrations and improves nasal congestion in people with allergic rhinitis[1][2][3][8].
