Overview

iNK002 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by Cell Inspire Biotechnology. The therapy consists of NK cells genetically engineered to secrete Interleukin-15 (IL-15), a cytokine that plays a vital role in the survival, expansion, and cytotoxic function of NK cells. By incorporating a secreted form of IL-15, iNK002 is designed to enhance the persistence and anti-tumor activity of the cells within the tumor microenvironment, potentially overcoming the limitations of exogenous cytokine administration. As an iPSC-derived product, iNK002 is intended to serve as a standardized, off-the-shelf immunotherapy for the treatment of various cancers. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
