iNK003 is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), developed by Cell Inspire Biotechnology. It specifically targets CD19, a cell surface marker predominantly expressed on B cells. By leveraging iPSC technology, iNK003 is designed as an "off-the-shelf" (allogeneic) product, potentially offering improved scalability and consistency compared to autologous CAR-T cell therapies. The mechanism involves the recognition of CD19-positive cells by the CAR-NK cells, leading to targeted cytotoxicity. It is currently being investigated in preclinical studies for the treatment of B-cell malignancies such as lymphoma, as well as B-cell mediated autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM), and systemic sclerosis.
