Overview

iNK006 is a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Developed by Cell Inspire Biotechnology, the therapy is designed to target Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, including breast and gastric cancers. By utilizing iPSC-derived NK cells, iNK006 aims to provide a standardized, off-the-shelf therapeutic product that can be manufactured at scale. The CAR construct enables the NK cells to specifically recognize and eliminate HER2-positive malignant cells. As of early 2024, the program is in the preclinical stage of development, focusing on in vitro validation.
